I had the pleasure of photographing my favorite "niece's" birthday over the weekend! This party was fit for a princess, and boy did the kids have a blast! Mackenzie Ann ushered in her 3rd birthday with friends, castle cake, princess gowns, and even a visit from Princess Aurora herself!! Here are some images from the fun-filled day!!

Snow.

White, creamy goodness.

Crimson robin's contrast against pure white. 

Calmness abounds.

Silent falling of snowflakes deafens the streets,

beckoning  all to come and play.

Outside, I am greeted by my own personal snow globe,

white flakes whirling around in rhythm to my own heart.

Inside I sit sip coffee, gazing at the beauty through my frosty window. 

Snuggled up with blankets and Pride and Prejudice.... 

It's going to be the perfect day!

These rainy days seem to go forever in the Pacific Northwest. They remind me of all the house work I've let lapse, the dinner I should make, and that it isn't dry enough to photograph ANYTHING outside. From books to movies, we've tried to pass the time as best as we can, but despite it all, we can't seem to shake this grey dreariness. 


I'm always thankful for the silly moments, when we are able to forget the weather and just have some fun. Nevaeh sure loves to climb on daddy like a jungle gym, and I sure love capturing it!
