Yesterday the rain let up and I was fortunate enough to capture a few shots of Nevaeh in Portland up on NW 23rd. I love this time of year with all the fall colors and incredible light for portraits. NW Portland is the perfect location for pictures with so many textures around to take advantage of.

Jim and Joan | Vancouver Portrait Photographer

Last year I was fortunate enough to donate some photo sessions to Daybreak , a drug and alcohol rehab center for teens in Vancouver, WA. One of the couples who bid and won a session is Joan and Jim. Jim is on the board at Daybreak and it was a pleasure meeting them both! I look forward to this coming February when I can donate more to this incredible organization.


After rescheduling quite a few times, we were able to meet up and shoot their session. Despite the 37 degree weather, we had a great time shooting in the beautiful fall setting of Esther Short Park. Here are a few of my favorite images from the morning.
